Interiors

As with all Born Hospitality group Projects, the Frontier is an environmental experience, with personal care poured into both interior spaces and the surroundings. The landscape and high desert lifestyle that embodies the San Luis Valley is an identity that is consistently evoked throughout the property.

Ellen Bruss and her firm, EBD, designed all of our interior spaces to feel like extensions of the landscape and picturesque views outside the windows. The color palette evokes the natural tones of the landscapes, and the black of the night sky, with pops of color that reference our bright neon sign.

Unlike other hospitality concepts, each of our Steelmaster Suites and Yurts are uniquely designed—each time you stay, you’ll find new surprises. Almost every room has a vintage rug that is one-of-a-kind.

Textural elements that were inspired by the natural landscape play into the rooms in woven lampshades and braided chairs. Rich leathers, shearling fabrics, and woven pillows in southwestern motifs create a cozy atmosphere. Tactile linen and thick cotton drapes make the rooms transparent yet private.

The SMS rooms are lined with aspen, creating a cabin meets loft feel. Concrete floors with in-floor heat add to the hominess. The yurts are warmed with pellet stoves, a fireplace in your room.
