If you’re not a hiking person, Del Norte is a fun town to go for lunch or dinner and walk around.

They feature seasonal dishes that include locally-sourced ingredients with an extensive wine list, and full bar in a casual but white tablecloth experience. The hotel also has 1874 Distillery, which has the bar area and an onsite food truck. You can grab breakfast, lunch or dinner here, options include street tacos and burgers. There’s a garden patio to eat in or there’s inside seating too. Not to be missed is the Mennonite bakery, Raisin’ Rye. When in the valley, it’s a must stop, even if just on the way out of town. Pizza and beer is available at the local brewery, Three Barrel Brewing. Simple Foods Market is your go-to for delicious sandwiches and picnic supplies. For shopping, there’s the General Specific Store, a treasure trove of antiques, collectibles and vintage clothing.
